Summer Solstice Blocks, Whoop Whoop!

Whriling Star

Whirling Star

Woohoo! The very last star in my Summer Solstice Quilt is complete! This one is entitled “Whirling Star” and is from the Solstice Stars Series over at Fresh Lemons.  This quilt has been so much fun to piece, and I have learned so much. Even if it did take me six months, heh.

And now for the big final layout reveal. A huge thank you to everyone to chimed in with their suggestions, they were so kind and helpful! As it turns out my sister saw my last post, and graciously put me out of my indecisive misery. Can I get a drum roll please?

This one definitely qualifies for a whoop, whoop!

What a fantastic finish, and it certainly deserves a Whoop, Whoop!!! You picked such beautiful colors, very well done!

I noticed you like solids, have you thought of signing up for Sew We Quilt’s Kona Solids blog hop in January?? I think you would be a wonderful addition to the party!

I did a similar thing with my solstice star quilt! I snagged an extra one from the Summer Sampler and laid them out like you did. I used the same color for the background of my stars as I did for the quilt and I added a double row of oversized hexagons at the bottom. I just finished it this past weekend and am dying to get some finished photos. I posted about them on my blog too if you wanna check em out! http://childlikefascination.com/tag/solstice-stars/ I love the combination of the gold and the blue and grey. These stars are just delicious no matter if they’re made form prints or solids!
